About us
HISTORY
Pathfinders Ministry was founded on February 22, 2007 by a group of Christian men in Carrollton, Georgia. Meetings were held originally in a corporate office on Tanner Street in Carrollton, Ga. We meet on Friday mornings from 6:50 A.M to 8:00 A.M. Our meetings are currently held in the In Zone at the Carrollton First Methodist Church at 220 Old City Hall Avenue in Carrollton, Georgia. CFMC has graciously granted us permission to use this facility.
The original purpose of Pathfinders was to develop personal and spiritual accountability and sharing praise and prayer concerns within our group. This purpose continues to be a primary objective, but in addition we have identified several specific missions we have chosen to support both financially and through personal service.
MINISTRY
Pathfinders Ministry group is designed to hold all accountable to each other in confidential exchange.
Our meetings begin with the pledge of allegiance to the flag of our nation. We then ask each member to offer specific prayer and praise requests. Our secretary lists each prayer request and offers a summary prayer at the conclusion of the praise and prayer time. Our members rotate as program leaders.
We do welcome guest leaders every 4-5 weeks. Our leader typically fills a 25 minute time frame with discussion and interaction.
An empty chair is always present and available at each meeting.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Over the past 11 years, Pathfinders Ministry has felt called to aid various Christian individuals and other organizations (both locally and internationally) in fulfilling their missions through financial support and personal service.
The organizations we currently support include the The Holy Spirit Emergency Shelter, Open Hands Ministry, Pregnancy Resource Center, International Leadership Institute, Strong Towers Orphanage in Navaisha, Kenya, The Purpose Center and the West Georgia Autism Foundation. We have recently added the Bibles to Pakistan project as an annual endeavor as well. Each of these missions has a Pathfinder representative who reports to the board of directors on a regular basis.
